FWRC Bud Run 10K, May 17, 2009

R.C. Liley, 24, who ran the Boston Marathon in April for the first time, won the men's division at the Fort Worth Runners Club's Bud Run 10K on a cool Sunday (May 17) morning at Trinity Park in 37:51. R.C., of Fort Worth, said he's training for the El Scorcho on July 19 in Fort Worth. ``I just wanted to enjoy Boston,'' Liley said of his 3:17 effort at the revered marathon. ``I was happy with it (his time), but I just wore way too many clothes that day.'' Maria Martinez, 31, of Fort Worth won the women's division in a PR of 43:13. Maria, who has been running competitively for only three years, said this was her second overall victory and she set a 10K PR. Before the 10K, a kids K was held. More photos will be available later on the FWRC website. See results.
